Dr. Merritt explains, “Sleep apnea and disrupted sleep from loud snoring causes tiredness and decreased productivity in many otherwise healthy adults. It robs patients of their energy and can decrease the quality of their lives slowly over a long period of time. Anyone with loud snoring can have the disorder and patients with tiredness when first waking up in the morning, difficulty staying alert during the day or morning headaches may have a serious sleep apnea problem,” https://www.sleepmedsite.com/page/sc/our_services/modafinil_provigil.
Dr. Merritt has years of experience treating respiratory disorders and creating the best combination of medical and surgical treatments for each patient with sleep apnea.
Every patient with troublesome snoring and/or sleep apnea can be successfully treated and we specialize in finding the right combination of allergy management, minimally invasive surgeries, dental appliances and breathing assist technologies for each patient. I have had a career-long interest in the diagnosis and treatment of these disorders and I understand that no two patients are alike when it comes to the dynamic function of their upper airways. Our patients, and especially their spouses, are very grateful when they can be helped with these problems and have their ability to breathe easily restored.”

Dr. Merritt also evaluates children with snoring and notes that loud snoring and disrupted or fragmented sleep can lead to behavioral problems and poor school performance in children. “Although our criteria for performing tonsillectomies in children have become more stringent, children with sleep apnea that fail to respond to non-surgical treatments and who have large obstructing tonsils often respond well to surgery.”
Dr. Merritt has spent his career caring for patients with ENT problems in the Northern Rocky Mountain States and has raised his two boys in the outdoors of Wyoming and Idaho. He and his family live in Lander.
