ROCK SPRINGS — The annual Race on the Rock Triathlon is taking place this morning. The Race will use city streets for the cycling and running portions.

Organizers are asking motorists to be mindful of participants on the street or if possible to avoid the area where the race will take place as there will be at least 40-60 bikes and runners on the street.

The roadways utilized for this race include College, Windriver, Arthur, Foothill, Stagecoach, Reagan and Sweetwater.

Volunteers for the race will be standing on corners to let drivers know if a racer is close by. They will be in neon yellow or pink shirts.

The first bikes will be on these city roadways by 6:40 in the morning.

The race this year includes the Talent ID Series Race so there will be many youth participants from the age of 10 and up.

So please be extra careful and watchful for individuals on bikes.

All participants should be finished with the run portion of the race by 11:00 am at the latest.
