The fundraiser took place at local TacoTime locations on February 25th, 2021, Gary’s birthday.

That day, the sale of all Waldo burritos and 10% of all sales were collected for donation.

A stunning $2,000 was raised to honor the memory of Gary Collins and contribute to his favorite charity.

The turnout was incredible, and the funds are expected to go far.

On behalf of Kari’s Access Awards, we are extremely grateful to TacoTime, SweetwaterNOW, all of Gary’s family, friends and the Sweetwater County community’s support in memory of Gary on his birthday! Thank you!

About the TacoTime + Kari’s Access Awards Fundraiser

Kari’s Access Awards is a local charity foundation that was dear to Gary’s heart.

“Kari’s Access Awards is an Endowment Fund started by Larry Fusselman, who was also a close friend of Gary’s, within the Sweetwater One Public School Foundation. KAA was established in 2006 in memory of his daughter Kari (Kay) Fusselman, a former student at Westridge Elementary, White Mountain Junior High, and Rock Springs High School.

Their focus is in helping individual School District #1 students (K thru 12) access non-traditional scholarships that give them an opportunity to participate in outside activities that will enhance learning and personal growth. The fund was designed to open new opportunities for individual students to help bring out the best of each student “One Child At A Time”!”

Gary loved fundraising, supporting his community and frequently enjoyed meals at TacoTime. Close friend and owner of 2 local TacoTime locations, Denise Staley, teamed up with Larry Fusselman to put together this heartfelt fundraising event.

The pair say the Gary Collins Memorial Fundraiser was intended to continue his legacy of community support and giving.🧡
