Suspects With Pinedale Ties Being Sought in Utah Kidnapping and Assault Case

CENTERVILLE, UT — Two suspects with work and family ties in Pinedale are being sought by Utah authorities in connection with a kidnapping and assault in Utah.

According to the Centerville Police Department:

On May 10, 2016, at 6:03 pm, Centerville Police Department received a 911 call for help at 190 N 700 E in Centerville.

A mother and her four daughters ranging in ages from 13 to 18 had been lured to the home by two individuals the mother knew for a BBQ.  Once the girls were at the house the two suspects brought them inside to a basement room where they had wire ties and duct tape prepared and ready to use and began tying them up.

The suspects were armed with a shotgun and a baseball bat. The mother was tied up and the suspects began assaulting her with the baseball bat. The girls were able to break loose from their restraints and started running out of the house screaming for help. One girl was able to call 911 on her cell phone during the commotion. The mother was also able to break free and all of them fled outside seeking help from neighbors. During the commotion of breaking free several of the girls were hit with the baseball bat.

The mother and one daughter were transported to the hospital for treatment.

The suspects fled the scene in a 2011 Silver Chevrolet Suburban with Wyoming plate AR83G. They have been identified as Flint Wayne Harrison (51) last known address in Salt lake and his son Dereck James (DJ) Harrison (22) of Centerville. They are still outstanding and not in custody. They have some work and family ties in Wyoming in the Pinedale area.

The motive appears to be retaliation on the mother. The exact reason is still under investigation.
